Gov. Scott delayed looking for a replacement until state lawmakers went home last week from their annual two month long session.
Friday he says he is focused on finding someone quickly. "So I'll get done as quickly as I can, but I want to make sure I find the right person that gonna make sure that our state is number one for jobs and number one for education."
Reporter: "Gives a clue at how many people you're looking at?"
Scott: "There is 19.2 million people in the state and let me tell you I've gotten a lot of ideas from people. I get ideas all the time on who I should pick."
Scott's pick is expected to be someone who can help his re-election efforts.
