A missing Jackson County teenager is back home with her mom.
According to the Sheriff's Office, they got a call from Rebekah Newsome's step-father about 8:30 Sunday night, reporting he had been located.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help to find a missing teenager.
16-year-old Rebekah Newsome has not been seen since April 21. She left a note stating she and some of her other “troubled” friends are going to Pensacola. But the sheriff’s office says they are not aware of any other missing teenagers in Jackson County.
Newsome is 5’2”, 103 lbs. with a slender build. Her red hair may be dyed blonde or black with extensions. She has braces on her top teeth and the name “PAUL” tattooed on her right foot. She has another tattoo of small circles on her hip.
Newsome may be carrying a fake ID, stating she is 18.
Anyone who has seen Newsome, or knows where to find her, is asked to contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office at 850-482-9648.
