At Edgewood Terrace and 393 in South Walton and you may not believe it but there is a road here. Water has been covering the road all day and the rain has let up some but residents here say that they haven't seen flooding like this in a very long time.
"It's never ever been this way since I've been here almost fourteen years" said Edgewood Resident Janice Adams.
"Yeah, as far as South Walton goes, it hasn't been this high since I’ve been down here. I've been living down here since i was like nine years old. North end of Walton County I’ve seen some pretty high water but down here not even with hurricanes i haven't seen it like this" sad Edgewood Resident Stephen Oliver.
All the way down the street at least six inches of water covers everything.
"It's actually gone down a bit. Somewhere in the system below us toward, the bay has opened up it looks like and dropped as you can see down there a couple of inches" said Edgewood Resident Jamie Forbes.
Waters have been so deep in some areas residents can't even leave their homes.
"I wouldn't attempt to drive anything through that. Not unless I want to drown my car out" said Adams.
"I actually got three vehicles. A Jeep, a Lincoln and a F-150 and the F-150 sits the highest. I go to back up, i actually tried earlier today. Water starts coming in the floorboards. I can't get out anywhere. I haven't been able to for about two days" said Oliver.
Residents say water here Wednesday was even worse than it was Thursday and there's even more rain in the forecast for Friday.
Walton County officials are also reporting flooding in areas along 30-a, highway-98 and 331 South.
