Panama City Beach drivers on Back Beach Road are already noticing extra delays.
Over-night, Back Beach was down to one lane from Pier Park to Nautilus Street.
The construction of Pier Park North has already caused some speed limit changes and lane closures.
The Florida Department of Transportation says they will be reducing the speed limit from 55 miles per hour to 45 in several areas as well as closings some lanes in those areas.
D.O.T. will work in certain sections at a time.
Drivers should be aware that speed limits will change from area to area as the project continues.
