Spring Breaker Arrested for Battery on Law Enforcement Officer


WALTON COUNTY - On Monday, Walton County Sheriff's Deputies were trying to find a house party in Santa Rosa Beach.

When deputies got to the home 17 year old Brandon Hardee from Georgia was walking towards the party at the same home.

Officials say he had two cans of beer, which he tried to conceal once he saw law enforcement.

A deputies tried to talk with Hardee.

That's when Hardee hit the deputy in the chest and ran away.

According to officials, Hardee refused to obey law enforcement's orders and struggle between a deputy and the teen broke out.

Hardee continued to resist, but was eventually placed in handcuffs.

Deputies found a small amount of marijuana and a smoking device on Hardee.

He was booked at the Walton County Jail and was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer without violence, possession of marijuana less than 20 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21.
