An apparent spring break stunt caused quite a scare early Saturday evening.
Authorities were called to the beach a little after 6:00pm in reference to a man who fell twenty-five to thirty feet off the zipline behind the Summit hotel on Thomas Drive in Panama City Beach.
The man initially refused medical attention and was on scene when we got there and told us he had actually jumped from the zipline platform.
Zipline employees confirmed this and said the incident actually occurred after the ride was closed.
The man apparently climbed the locked fence to gain access to the ride and told us he suffered minor head and back injuries.
