The State Fire Marshal is trying to determine how a Callaway home caught fire Sunday afternoon.
Flames were shooting through the roof at this house on South Kimbrell Avenue when firefighters arrived around 12:40 Sunday afternoon. Most of the fire and smoke damage appears to have started in the back of the house.
Fire crews and paramedics from Springfield, Panama City, Callaway, and Bay County Fire Rescue were all on hand to fight the blaze.
No one was hurt in that fire, but the house has been declared a total loss and the Red Cross is assisting the family of four who lived there.
