The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is cracking down on hundreds of fake online pharmacies.
The FDA says some of the websites appeared professionally done, mirroring real pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens.
1,600 fake pharmacies online have been shut down, and the FDA says it has taken action against nearly 10,000 websites.
As part of the crackdown, the FDA is investigating doctors and wholesale drug distributors for possibly buying counterfeit medicine.
Experts warn against buying medications from any website that does not ask for a prescription.
