Behind the private gates of Kelly Plantation in Destin is an extreme home fit for a king.
"I am standing in front of Torretta, which is a twenty-five thousand square foot beautiful waterfront estate" said Real Estate Broker John Paul Somers.
Torretta sits on one point eight acres of land on Joe's Bayou. It has thirty-one rooms, eight of which are private bedroom suites.
"It has a fabulous fifty by ninety foot salt water swimming pool. It has a swim up bar eight person hot tub. A top that bar. It has a gorgeous summer kitchen” said Somers.
And when we say king, we mean the king of rock 'n' roll. Owner Ron Adams is a world renowned Elvis impersonator who spent quite a few years building his palace.
"We started on it about eight or nine years ago. Took three years to design. Did a lot of designing myself actually. Did a lot of research and then we started building it and moved in January of 2006" said Adams.
The home includes an enormous kitchen, several living spaces, a fifteen hundred gallon salt water aquarium and amazing views of the bay. At an asking price of nearly nine million dollars the Torretta Estate has been on the market for a little over a year. But that hasn't stopped several high profile clients from showing interest in the property.
“We have had some very intriguing showings, interested folks who are right now are on standby" said Somers.
Including professional baseball, football and soccer players as well as some well-known businessmen.
"I tell you what I enjoy the most is actually sharing this house with other people. Me being an entertainer we have people coming in all the time, we have big parties and to see the joy on their face when their enjoying the house is really very joyous for me" said Adams.
The Torretta Waterford home will be featured in an HGTV's Extreme Homes episode sometime in February or early March.
