Three people were killed this morning in a one-vehicle traffic crash on Interstate 10 at Chipley.
The Florida Highway Patrol says a van, with a total of 10 people, was eastbound on I-10 around 7:30 Saturday morning when the left rear tire blew out. The driver, 49-year-old Martha Bramlet of Freeport lost control, went into the grassy median and then across the west bound I-10 lanes.
At this point the van ran off the road and began to roll over throwing out several passengers. Three of them died at the scene.
Killed were Patricia Baker, 58, Maliya Chriskon, 8, and Micah Goldsmith, 11. All three of the fatalities were from DeFuniak Springs.
Troopers say of the 10 in the van, only two were restrained, the driver Martha Bramlet and a 6-week-old infant Sophia Livingston of DeFuniak Springs. The baby was in a child restraint seat and is the only one of the 7 survivors who was not injured.
The seven survivors and their conditions are:
Martha Bramlet, Freeport, minor injuries
Kayla Glenn, 11, DeFuniak Springs, minor injuries
Taquita Davis, 31, DeFuniak Springs, serious injuries
Deshaunna Glenn, 33, DeFuniak Springs, serious injuries
Sophia Livingston, 6 weeks, DeFuniak Springs, no injuries
Akyra Eiland, 30, DeFuniak Springs, critical injuries

The ten were enroute to a Saturday Church conference when the crash occurred.
