Walton County voters have one more day, Tuesday, to cast their vote on a proposed half-cent sales tax increase.

Walton County commissioners are asking voters to decide if they want to pay an extra half-cent to go to 4-laning highway-331 and building a new bridge over Choctawhatchee Bay.

But some voters believe the county will move ahead with the plans, no matter what voter's decide. County officials estimate they could pay back up to 75-million dollars in about 18-years, then the tax would end.

Florida D-O-T has committed to sunset the estimated 2-dollar toll once it collects the 75-million, but those plans could change, and the toll amount could increase.

Voting is 7 AM to 7 PM Tuesday in Walton County
