A twelve year old boy is expected to recover after getting struck by a vehicle while crossing the road Friday morning.
The accident happened around 8:00 Friday morning near the intersection of Business 98 and Kraft Avenue in Millville.
Panama City police say the boy tried to cross 98, heading into oncoming traffic, when he was struck by the driver of a Jeep Cherokee who could not stop in time to avoid the accident.
Police say it appears the driver was going about 30 miles per hour when it happened.
The child was transported to the hospital where he is expected to recover.
