After a month of planning Walton county officials are ready for their first yard sale of recycled, repaired and restored items.
"Well we're going to be having it at the county landfill up off of Highway 83. It's right behind the state prison. It will be from 7am to noon on Saturday, April 27th and the plan is right now everything has a price on it" said Walton County Public Information Officer Louis Svehla.
"Well we've basically been cleaning up around our pole barn here. So where we're going to have it cleaned up, getting it weed wacked so everybody has a place to walk around" said Walton County Recycling Coordinator Mark Simmons.
There are antiques, yard equipment, paintings and more up for grabs.
"We're selling 17 inch flat screen computer monitors for 20 dollars. We've got a lot of collectibles, coca cola items. We have furniture, office furniture, chairs, filing cabinets, desks. So it's really a wide variety of a lot of things" said Svehla.
County officials say later in the week an appraiser will look at some of the older items being sold.
"We certainly don't want to have $5.00 dollars on something that's worth you know $500.00. I don't think we have anything like that, but we found a couple things that are worth a few hundred dollars for one item" said Svehla.
County workers are still collecting items for the yard sale until the end of the week.
The yard sale is this Saturday April 27th at the Walton County landfill from 7:00am until noon.
