Driver Critically Injured In Walton County Crash

A DeFuniak Springs man is in critical condition at Bay Medical Center in Panama City following a single vehicle traffic crash early Monday morning.

21 year old James T. Poston was driving on Woodyard Road south of McGarigle Street in Walton County when he drifted off the pavement, came back onto the road but overcorrected forcing the pick up truck to rotate. It then became airborne and collided with several trees.

Troopers say Poston was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the pick up. He was life-flighted to Bay Medical’s Trauma Unit.

The Florida Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the 1:20 a.m. crash.
