Zaxby's Donates Proceeds to Make-A-Wish Foundation

PANAMA CITY BEACH - A local food chain is partnering up with Make-A-Wish foundation just in time for the holidays.

Two local Zaxby's locations are raising money to help families in need this Christmas.

This upcoming week, the Zaxby's on Hutchinson Boulevard and the Zaxby's in Lynn Haven are taking proceeds from one day of sales to donate to the foundation.

This is the third year the food chain has teamed up with Make-A-Wish during the holiday season.

The goal is to help grant 50 wishes to children with life threatening medical conditions.

Zaxby's General Manager, Scott Wiggins said, "This is the time around Christmas when everybody's a little more light-hearted and wanting to give back. People are a little more generous this time of year, wanting to give back to those in need. This time of year makes us realize that we are a little bit more blessed no matter what we're all going through."

December 3rd both restaurants plan to donate 10% of their total sales between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Wiggins says customers can also donate at the counter.

Through the 20th of December Zaxby's will donate $1 for every gift card they sell.

The deal starts Sunday.
