Panama City - There's a war on cancer happening in our community, and it kicks off on Monday night, August 23!
On October 9th, the American Cancer Society holds its Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. It’s a 5k walk designed to raise money and awareness for fighting breast cancer in our community.
This year Newschannel Seven is the media sponsor, and the walk is presented by the Women's Imaging Center at Bay Radiology. Now, all that’s missing is you! To find out how to start a team and take part in this big event, the public is invited to the kickoff celebration at Gulf Coast Community College at 5:30 Monday night.
There will be free food, donated by local restaurants; speakers; and lots of information to get you involved.
Come, and find out how to create or join a team. You can also get more info by clicking on the pink ribbon on our website, or by contacting the American Cancer Society.
