Local Habitat for Humanity volunteers are in the midst of constructing the program’s 63rd home in Bay County.
That is a milestone in and of itself but the home on 8th Court in Panama City has even more significance.
It represents a partnership between Habitat for Humanity of Bay County and Gulf Power who donated up to 50,000 dollars to the project.
The 4 bedroom 2 bath home is being built to meet earth cents standards, meaning its more energy efficient than typical habitat houses.
The groundbreaking was last month and as you can see they’ve made some tremendous progress.
Habitat Executive Director Cornel Brock joined Meredith with an update on the project.
