UPDATE----An early morning car accident leaves one man in critical condition and temporarily shuts down a portion of Laird Street, off Thomas drive.
Forty-six-year old Robert J. Bailey was traveling west on Laird Street when for unknown reasons, he lost control of his car.
Laird was ejected out of his vehicle after it rotated into a ditch before hitting a reflector and slamming into a pine tree. According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, Laird was not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol did play a role in the accident. Bailey is in critical condition at a local hospital
An early morning car accident has temporarily shut down a portion of Laird Street, off of Thomas Drive.
Early reports indicate that one man, approximately 40 years old, was taken to the hospital around 5AM after being ejected from what appears to be a Chrysler Sebring, after running off the road and striking a telephone pole.
