Parts of northern Florida could see up to an inch of snow on Friday.
The National Weather Service says a storm system moving across the Rio Grande Valley in Texas will reach the Gulf of Mexico by late Thursday afternoon and hit northern Florida by Friday morning. Areas north of Pensacola through Marianna could get snow accumulation for the first time since 1993.
Meteorologist Kelly Godsey estimates a 40 to 60 percent chance of snow accumulation. He says the snow could also mix with rain, hampering any accumulation.
