Former Tallahassee Mayor Facing Battery Charges in Bay County

A former Tallahassee mayor is being accused of domestic battery in Bay County.

Bay County Sheriff's deputies arrested 70-year-old Frank Visconti around midnight Sunday night off Highway 79 in West Bay. According to reports, Visconti and his 42-year-old girlfriend were on their way back from a weekend in Destin when they allegedly got into an argument.

Beach Police say they answered 2-calls involving the couple at a gas station and a restaurant near the corner of Back Beach Road and Highway 79. Sheriff's officials got involved around 11 p.m., when a deputy found Visconti's SUV pulled off the road near the West Bay Bridge. Officials tell NewsChannel 7, they found Visconti standing outside the vehicle with visible cuts and bruises.

The girlfriend was sitting inside the SUV, shivering in wet clothes. The woman claims Visconti hit her several times as they were driving, and when she jumped out of the vehicle, he allegedly pushed her into a ditch and held her in the water. According to the report, Visconti was slightly intoxicated. A judge released him on his own recognizance Monday afternoon. Visconti is facing one count of Battery

How could he "hold her in the water" if he was inside the car and she was outside the car. It doesn't even sound right. Seems he pulled over to make her get out and probably gave her a firm shove once she opened the door after she'd clearly been beating him while he was driving. He had the marks... didnt say she had any. Looks like she just fell in a ditch and claimed domestic battery to save her own face. Alcohol involved doesnt mean he was intoxicated.

Politicians get the attention up front, but then sneak out the backdoor. Look at Monk here in Holmes county. Got arrested for going after his wife, but his buddy is the Clerk of Courts and the asst. State Attorney is also the county attorney, so no prosecution. Women stay out of Holmes.

Situations do not always appears as they seem. This 42 year old has a history of claiming domestic violence from whomever her newest victim is. Same story, different day and different man. Note: he was the one with the marks on him.

Why was he not charged with DUI? Reports stated there was alcohol involved. But I guess the good ole boy system spreads further than we realize. Anyone else arrrest for battery would not have been ror. Justice across the board. HAHA
