Motorcycle Driver Airlifted to Sacred Heart after Crash-PICS

An Alabama man is life-flighted to a local hospital after reportedly crashing his motorcycle in the WaterColor area early Tuesday morning.

Witnesses on scene tell NewsChannel 7, the wreck happened near the WaterColor Crossing Shopping Plaza on 395. They also say the man was heading northbound on 395, in Walton County, hit some low-hanging pine tree limbs in the median and came to a rest by the SunTrust sign on the side of the road.

Reports out by Florida Highway Patrol Tuesday morning indicate the man, 49-year-old Kenneth Roy Sundberg of Nauvoo, Alabama, was airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola with serious injuries. FHP reports also indicate Sundberg was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Charges are pending at this time.
