Two men had to be rushed to a local hospital after a car crash in Panama City Beach.

A little after 8:00 Wednesday night, 24-year old Robert Gribas, of Lynn Haven, lost control of his Volkswagon Jetta on Magnolia Beach Road.

He struck a tree in the median before crashing into an embankment near the entrance to the Winn-Dixie supermarket.

Gribas was trapped in the vehicle until emergency crews were able to cut him out.

His passenger, 21 year old Ray Morningstar, of Panama City, was also taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Thursday morning, Morningstar was listed in critical condition. Gribas has been treated and released from the hospital.
