Millions around the world are hungry and there are many families right here in our own community who are struggling to put food on the table.
That's why Crop Hunger Walks raise funds to end hunger locally and around the world. Our local walk is this Saturday.
Terry Dye is one of the organizers and Rhonda Hawley is the music teacher at Southport Elementary where students, once again, have accomplished an amazing feat to fight hunger.
The crop walk is this Saturday at McKenzie Park, registration begins at 8 and the walk begins at 9. Remember to bring a jar of peanut butter.
