Panama City Beach Council members met for the final time Thursday before Tuesday’s city elections.
Members approved forming a special task force to look into the pros and cons of spring break. It will be led by the Bay County Tourist Development Council. This isn’t the first time the council has turn to a task force to examine Spring Break issues.
"We had some parking problems. We had traffic congestion, which we know we will have again in July, so we worked on those. And we started thinking we did this about three to four years ago, and it had really good results. So it might be something we need to revisit" said Gayle Oberst, Panama City Beach Mayoral Candidate.
The council plans to hold public workshops in May so the community can share their ideas and opinions regarding Spring Break.
