Beach Renourishment is once again underway along Panama City Beach.
Crews began pumping sand onto the beaches Monday in the Laguna Beach area. The $13 million dollar project will add 100 feet of shoreline from Carillon Beach to St. Andrews State Park. The extra sand will help protect the beach from future erosion and storms. Crews will work 24 hours a day, moving eastward at about 1,000 feet a day.
The entire project should take 3 months to complete.
