Improvements continue at the MB Miller County Pier in Panama City Beach.

Bay County commissioners recently awarded C.W. Roberts a contract for $1.3 million dollars to expand the parking lot at the pier.
This will be the third and final phase of improvements. It will include resurfacing the existing parking lot, adding 123 parking spaces and 8 new handicap spots.
Commissioners say the extra space for parking is needed at the busy pier.

The project is set to start by the end of October and end March 2012.
