Defuniak Springs – Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office say they caught Jarrell Devon Jackson with about 10.4 lbs. of marijuana in the truck of his car.
On Wednesday, December 1st, Jackson was pulled over driving a 2004 Red Toyota Camry with what deputies suspected to be illegally tinted windows. Upon making the stop, deputies noticed a strong smell of marijuana, and conducted a probably cause search. That’s when they turned up 10.39 lbs. of marijuana wrapped in a green plastic package in the trunk of the car.
With the assistance of Walton County Sheriff’s deputies, another 1.5 lbs. of marijuana was found at Jackson’s home in Defuniak Springs.
Jackson has since been placed under arrest, and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and violation of state probation. Jackson had been on probably for an earlier charge of marijuana possession.
