FREEPORT- The E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center in Freeport provides incredible outdoor classroom experiences for elementary and middle school student across Northwest Florida. Students learn about the creatures and the ecosystems that make this region of the country unique. With 31,000 square feet of interactive exhibits and indoor and outdoor clasrooms, the center has taught over 21,000 students in the last 4 years. Turtle Bob and Christy Scally joined NewsChannel 7 Today in-studio with some special reptiles.

The E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center is hosting a fundraiser for area student programs and the preservation of Longleaf Pine trees at Bud & Alley's from 5 to 9 pm on Sunday, September 8.
