A local family is mourning the loss of their son after he was killed by a Great White Shark off the coast of Australia.
George Thomas Wainwright, 32, died Saturday Scuba diving with two college friends near Rottnest Island, a popular tourist spot 15 miles offshore.
Wainwright was underwater alone when he was attacked. His two friends were on the boat and saw air bubbles and blood come up from the area where he was diving. Moments later, Wainwright's body rose to the surface. They told instigators a 10 foot Great White Nudged their boat after the attack.
This was the third fatal shark attack of Australia's southwest coast in less than two months and the fourth in a year.
