A Jackson County man is dead after a traffic crash Monday.
It happened around 1:30am Monday morning on Pooser Road in Marianna. State Troopers say Johnnie B. Branch, 91, pulled out of a driveway and into the path of another car. Paramedics took Branch to Jackson Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The other driver, Joseph H. Simmons, 25, of Cottondale was seriously injured.
No charges have been filed.
