Governor Rick Scott is expected to take action after a Parker City Commissioner is arrested on drug charges.
A shackled Bobbie Jo Spikes, 39, told a courtroom Tuesday she was no longer employed by the city of Parker. Mayor Tonya Barrow says she notified Governor Rick Scott of Spikes arrest Monday. The former commissioner was arrested after an alleged drug deal involving a confidential informant. Bay County Sheriff’s investigators say they found methamphetamine, bath salts, hydrocodone, and drug paraphernalia in her purse and car.
A judge set Spikes’ bond at $11,500 dollars and has ordered her to comply with random mandatory drug tests.
