The identity of the Panama City man who drowned in the Gulf Sunday has been revealed.
Bryan Ward Johnson, 40, was found floating face down behind the boardwalk beach resort around 1pm.
According to Panama City Beach Police Chief Robert Harding, the man’s friends said he had been drinking and was taking unknown medication.
The surf was calm and green flags were flying when the drowning happened. The medical examiner’s office will do an autopsy to learn how Johnson died.
