MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- A federal judge has scheduled a hearing to set the conditions that Country Crossing casino developer Ronnie Gilley must follow when he's released from jail.
U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson ruled Monday that Gilley could be released from the Montgomery City Jail pending his sentencing in November on bribery, conspiracy and money laundering charges. The judge left the conditions of the release up to Magistrate Judge Wallace Capel Jr. Capel will consider those in a hearing Tuesday morning.
Thompson said the conditions must include items that Gilley's attorneys agreed to in a court hearing Monday, including home confinement.
The 46-year-old casino developer pleaded guilty Friday. He has been in the Montgomery jail since February.
