Old Roberts Hall in downtown Lynn Haven has been around since 1912. It has hosted thousands of community events over the years and was recently renovated as part of the city’s downtown revitalization efforts, but city officials are concerned about the building’s certificate of occupancy.

According to city manager John Lynch, the Hall doesn’t have one. He is worried if someone gets hurt on the property, the city will be liable. Volunteers who did all the renovation work were upset about the issue.

Lynn Haven Commissioners did not take any action on Roberts Hall at this time. Instead, Lynch will meet with the volunteers and come back to the commission with recommendations.
