A Defuniak Springs man arrested in February for killing his sister-in-law’s pets will be spending the next two years in jail.
A judge sentenced Travis Ryan Atlow, 25, Tuesday to 11 months and 29 days in the Walton County Jail on each of 2-counts of animal cruelty.
Atlow’s sister-in-law reported her miniature horse and dog were missing, and told deputies she suspected Atlow because he had made previous threats.
Investigators discovered the animal’s remains buried behind his house.
