UPDATE 6-13: From the treetops of the Red woods to the shores of the Pacific Ocean, the Bay County Christian youth choir has been busy exploring Northern California! The students zip lined through a canopy of red woods and visited the beach in Santa Cruz before performing at a local church! Thursday it's onto Santa Barbara for our final performance!
UPDATE 6-12: From cable cars to ferry boats! The choir experienced the sloping streets and windy seas of San Francisco on Tuesday! Wednesday the choir heads to the redwood forest for a zip line tour as well as an evening concert!
UPDATE 6-11: From the Central Valley of California to the Sierra Nevada mountains! The choir has arrived at Camp Sierra where we swam in snow melt swimming holes and hiked through a forest of Ponderosa Pines! The choir performed for other campers and the community! Tuesday it's off to San Fransisco!
More than 40 local high school students, one charter bus, and ten cities!
The Bay County Christian Youth Choir is on tour, stopping to perform in several different locations on their way from Arizona to Northern, then Southern California.
The group is a multi-denominational choir of Bay County students, 8th grade through 12th grade, in fact every high school in Bay County is represented, as are more than 20 churches.
The choir departed Thursday and returns to perform a homecoming concert at Forest Park United Methodist Church in Panama City on Sunday, June 16th at 2:00pm.
The choir's ten day tour includes stops in Phoenix and Sedona Arizona, then onto 3 cities in central California, up to San Francisco, then San Jose, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles.
The choir will be performing at churches, camps, and senior living centers.
