A portion of the national marine fisheries facility in Panama City Beach is shut-down, due to mold.
Officials discovered the mold during the inspection of an old trailer that is to be replaced. It was being used as a testing lab and office space. The mold did not make any of the biologist working within the building sick, and did not affect any of the lab testing ongoing inside the trailer.
The national oceanic atmospheric administration has relocated the staff to temporary work spaces and is working to find a permanent solution.
