BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- The first academic building to be constructed on the campus of College of Coastal Georgia in 30 years is nearing completion.
The 45,000-square-foot Health and Science Building, with a Spanish mission-style facade, will be ready for classes January 10th.
Furniture, fixtures and equipment for the $15.8 million project will be installed beginning December 15th.
At completion, the building will have a 125-seat, tiered classroom-auditorium, chemistry labs, anatomy and physiology labs, a radiological science suite, heath assessment and fundamentals laboratories, clinical labs, computer labs, and space for group study.
The new building is part of the growth plan for the college, which became a four-year institution in 2009.
