A multi-car accident quickly turned into a police chase Monday night in Panama City Beach.

It happened around 8:30 at the intersection of Back Beach Road and Richard Jackson Boulevard. Police arrived to find a wreck involving at least 3 vehicles. The man believed to be at fault apparently took off in one of the responding officer’s vehicles.

Police arrested the suspect later and identified him as David Tooth, 47, of Panama City Beach.

Tooth faces numerous charges. It is believed he was intoxicated at the time of the crash and ensuing chase.
