PC Commissioners On Homeless Shelter

Panama City Commissioners say they will not give up on the possibility of building a new community resource center to re-locate the homeless from the downtown rescue mission.

Tuesday commissioners will discuss plans to move the shelter to the industrial park off Highway 231 near the incinerator and the jail.

This comes after discussions about expanding or re-locating the rescue mission to Springfield, Gulf County or building the community resource center off Sherman Avenue were all rejected.
