HILO, Hawaii -- Comedian Roseanne Barr is seeking a temporary restraining order against a neighbor who filed a complaint about unauthorized grading work being done on her macadamia nut farm in Hawaii.
The Hawaii Tribune-Herald reports Barr's request is to be heard March 10 before a judge in Waimea who granted her a preliminary restraining order until the hearing.
Barr filed a petition Monday against Roree and Richard Oehlman saying the couple had begun "a campaign of harassment" against her since she purchased the farm property in Honokaa.
She accuses the Oehlmans of trespassing on her 46-acre farm and trying to libel and defame her in public stores in the area.
Roree Oehlman says most of the allegations aren't true, but declined to comment on the specifics, citing the preliminary restraining order.
