This week is national school bus safety week, but it was a parent who was handing out advice to Bay County School District officials and bus drivers Thursday.
About 50 bus drivers met with school transportation officials to go over policy and procedure Thursday. Supervisor Ken Phillips reminded them what happens if they don’t follow protocol. Officials say recent events, including a 4 year old who was improperly kicked off a bus last Friday, have undermined the public’s trust in transporting their kids. A local mother then confirmed those feelings.
About 15,000 Bay County students ride school buses everyday.
