St. Andrews Episcopal Church hosts domestic violence awareness event

Panama City - The statistics are staggering. On average more than three women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends in this country every day. That's why a St. Andrews church is hosting an event Wednesday night to spread awareness about domestic violence.

Sarah Marshall Kreamer was shot by her boyfriend in 2002, this after he asked her to marry him and she refused. He shot her, then turned the gun on himself.

Her mother, Rev. Martha Kreamer, the vicar of the Church of the Advent in Lillian, Alabama, will be sharing more about her story at St. Andrews Episcopal Church Wednesday.

Wednesday's event, which is free, begins with dinner at 6pm, then Rev. Kreamer will speak at 6:45. St. Andrews Episcopal Church is located at 1608 Baker Court. To RSVP for dinner call 763-7636.
