Third Annual Oyster Cook-Off

Raw, steamed, fried, in a stew, in a stuffing, there are so many ways you can prepare fresh Apalachicola oysters and this weekend the best recipes go head to head for a good cause.

The Third Annual Oyster Cook-off to benefit the Apalachicola Volunteer Fire Department is tomorrow in Appalachia.

Marisa and Danny are the owners of Tamara’s café and year after year they prepare the popular oyster stew that is for sale at the event.

Friday morning, they are sharing their recipe for Apalachicola Bloody Mary's.

Saturday's Cook-off starts at noon and wraps up at 5. In addition to oysters prepared just about every way you can imagine, other refreshments will also be available. It's all happening in downtown Apalachicola.
