TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Construction is under way on an 18,000-square-foot farmer's market and community center in Tuscaloosa.
The River Market project was approved in February but the April 27 tornadoes pushed back the completion date to January. The $3 million project will also house the Tuscaloosa Tourism and Sports Commission.
The building is along the city's Riverwalk. It will serve as a community center when the farmer's market isn't operating.
