77-year-old Ft. Walton Beach man hits $3-million lotto

Fort Walton Beach -- A 77-year-old Fort Walton Beach man just claimed a $3-million top prize in the Florida Lottery’s “Monopoly” scratch-off game. William Barnes bought the $20 scratch off ticket at the Ft. Walton Beach Publix, located on 251 Miracle Strip Parkway.

Barnes chose the one-time, lump-sum payment for his winnings, and will receive $2,286,731.50, before taxes.
