A Freeport woman ultimately called the law on herself, after allegedly stabbing and kidnapping an acquaintance.
Walton County Sheriff's deputies said 19-year-old Annie Holmes got into an argument over money with a 24-year-old Hispanic male victim Sunday night. She allegedly slashed him on the hand with a knife, tied him up, and forced him into the trunk of his car. Authorities say she drove him to a wooded area off County Road 81, and then abandoned him.
However, when she returned a short time later to find the man gone, Holmes alerted sheriff's officials, blaming two unidentified "long-haired" men. However, under questioning, investigators say Holmes recanted the story and admitted her guilt
