Sleeping Driver Ends up Behind Bars for Drug Paraphernalia

On Friday morning, at approximately 1:38 a.m., Marianna Police officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the Wendy’s parking lot.

According to reports, officers approached the vehicle and saw a man, later identified as John Seay, asleep in the driver seat of the car. After further investigation and consent to search the vehicle, officer’s discovered several glass smoking pipes, commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics. The pipes contained a white powdery substance which was identified as Methamphetamine.

Seay was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
