2nd Fort Walton Burglary Suspect Behind Bars

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office arrested a second suspect in a burglary on Schneider Drive that took place Friday.

Twenty-one- -year old Quinton Cordell Powell, of Fort Walton Beach is charged with burglary and criminal mischief.

Investigators say Powell and 23-year old Andre Belton of Crestview, (who was arrested Friday), went to the 500 block of Schneider Drive and one of them tried to kick in the door. They then left the home in a white car and deputies began a pursuit. The chase ended at the Royale Apartments where Belton was captured and arrested. Powell escaped but a warrant was issued for his arrest and he is now in custody.

Investigators say both Powell and Belton are suspects in multiple area burglaries.
