Authorities are searching for a suspect who reportedly robbed the Hellett's Rege Auto Body Shop and allegedly assaulted an employee in the process.
It happened around 7:45 Tuesday morning, and deputies say a man described in his mid-twenties entered the shop located on 23rd Street, asking about getting his car worked on. The suspect then, allegedly grabbed the employee and starting hitting him, demanding money. The suspect was reportedly armed with a pocket knife.
The suspect left the shop in a mid 90's model white Honda in an unknown direction. Authorities say the white Honda has damage to the rear of the vehicle. If you have any information about this incident you're asked to call the bay county sheriff's office at 747-
